Our Chilean mussels are fully cleaned and cooked. Our mussels provide consistent quality and uniformity, taste, texture, and overall flavor. Serve them in a spicy marinara sauce or in a white wine, shallot, and parsley broth. For a new twist, try a Thai red curry broth, paella, or cioppino. Whatever you choose to create, Oyster Bay mussels will not disappoint!

MUSSELS IN DILL & MUSTARD SAUCE RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 4 pounds of Oyster Bay Mussels
  • 1 bottle of Hard Cider
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 large shallots
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • Bundle of fresh Dill
  • Small pack of fresh thyme
  • 4 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 5 tbsp. of Ray’s Old World Gourmet Dijon mustard

 

Directions:

  1. In a large pot heat the olive oil over a medium heat and add the minced Shallots. After about 3 minutes lower the heat and add the garlic. Keep mixing around with shallots for about a minute. Next you will add the Hard Cider, Dill, Thyme, salt, pepper. Cover the pot and let simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. Add the mussels, and raise back to a medium heat. Cover the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

  3. Lower the heat back down to a simmer and add the butter, Cream, and mustarded. Simmer for another few minutes.

  4. Remove from pot and put in a deep bowl garnish with more fresh dill.
